Advancement in technologies to keep us safe and effective in the field is something that Otis Technologies is good at.

Recently we picked up a few products that allow us to feel confident in our equipment while testing.

The Ripcord makes cleaning in the field fast. The heat treated cord means that after several rounds, its safe to remove any fouling or powder from a barrel even if the barrel has not completely cooled. The downtime between testing loads is minimal.

And since we are on public land more often than a range, it is important to be able to hear what is going on around us. All too often a vehicle, or even person on foot approaches given the public road system is vast and hunting seasons often overlap most months of the year.

The new EarShield hearing protection offers new technology with their Sound Reduction Chamber allowing the shooter, and those around them, to react to commands or environmental situations faster. They also don’t get in the way of your gun stocks like traditional or even slim fit muffs do meaning you don’t need to remove your hearing protection to have a conversation with others in your group.
